A Genuine Love for Jesus
A genuine love for Jesus begins with the new birth — receiving and believing the Gospel. It is through faith in Christ that we are saved, sealed, and made new. (John 3:16; Romans 1:16; Ephesians 1:13–14)
A Serious Love for His Word A serious love for God’s Word flows from a growing love for Jesus. As we abide in Him, we commit ourselves personally and purposefully to discipleship, learning, and living out the truth of Scripture. (John 8:31)
An Authentic Love for People An authentic love for people is the natural result and overflow of a life rooted in Christ and grounded in His Word. When we love Jesus deeply and treasure His truth, that love extends outward to others. (John 7:37–38; John 13:35)
